Do you know what Aero looks like without Aero Glass? Does it look the same as it has in previous builds? I was really hoping they would make it look nicer anyway or at least Windows MCE 2005 Royale equivalent. Thanks. "Andre Da Costa [Extended64]" wrote in message

I've put some screenies up if it helps. www.zacknet.co.uk/vistabase/gallery There aren't any of Classic theme yet... and for some reason, a lot of people (including myself) can get Aero Glass to work, but the transparency just doesn't happen. Hmm...

Good, that's a lot better than what it was going to look like. I saw a few

screenshots out yesterday and I also noticed that most of the screenshots showed Aero Glass without the transparency. I wonder what's going on. Is there still an option to make it transparent?

Hi Zack
You're running Vista with only 256 MB, how it works ? slow or like XP with 256 MB ?
thanks !!

Probably those systems don't have a Video card with a supported LDDM driver (Longhorn Display Driver Model). You need that to get Glass working. :) -- -- Andre Windows Connect | http://www.windowsconnected.com Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta FAQ for MS AntiSpy http://www.geocities.com/marfer_mvp/FAQ_MSantispy.htm "Travis King" wrote in message

I know I know, but that's only one of them. That's the only Vista machine that I can get a wireless signal to!! For some reason, Vista still doesn't like Wireless-ness much, but I've got a nice 64-bit one in the next room <G>

Nah I have. For some reason, in this build Glass is a bit buggy. If you have a maximised window and another one in front which is not maximised, sometimes you can see the background through the title bar. Also I took those screenshots without restarting... and after I restarted, lo and behold is transparency.
Sorry :op

Zack, I found that I need to go to Start>Connect To and then connect to your router. Took me awhile to figure all that out. But it works.
Of course, you've probably already done this, but what the hey... it may help someone else. :-}

I had to enable my computer's MAC address on my router - we have that option on for security. That's the reason why it didn't work properly :op
